Koke and Herbi

Just call it nature month on my blog. This pooch and tortoise belong to my friend Char. I took photos of them yesterday for her Christmas card. It might seem a bit early for the holidays, but Herbi the tortoise goes into hibernation soon. Char puts him in a big tupperware container with holes poked in the top and stores him away in the garage for his deep winter sleep. In the spring, he'll be ready to go again.

Plumeria

My next project in the garden...to get this plumeria to grow and be happy.

Cactus Miracle

We love our cactus. It just recently sprouted these artichoke looking blossoms that only open at night. They are beautiful, and we are told will only last a few days.
