8 am, 4th day

It's hard to give a sense of what this week has been like around our sleepy little village. We have been fortunate to have nothing but smoke and soot. It is five days after the fire and it still smells like smoke and there is still grime everywhere. On the house, on the car, on the plants, in the house. It is truly surreal. I tried hard to get some good photos, but none really turned out too great. My photography teacher in high school, good 'ol Mr. Fitz always said the two hardest things to photograph are snow and smoke. I guess I should have listened a little better that day.

Climbing Walls

Went to Dallas this weekend to celebrate Javier's grandmother's 90th birthday! Got to see my sister and her fam as well. Love the kiddos. They look so different each time I see them.

Wedding Quilt

This wedding quilt was given to us by anna and mikey who actually made this masterpiece. It is truly amazing. Anna said she picked navy blue for the background color because it stands for ink. We have always had great correspondence and will be forever pen pals. Thanks guys, we will cherish it forever.
